With the 2025 NFL Draft being less than one month away, NFL General Manager’s and front office executives are finalizing their draft boards attempting to strategically plan out mock draft scenarios that could take place during Round One on draft night, April 24th in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

University of Colorado quarterback, Shedeur Sanders, offers tremendous upside as a 2025 NFL Draft prospect. If I were a decision maker in the front office of the Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, or New Orleans Saints, Sanders would be in the mix at the quarterback position of my draft board.  With the Titans having the number one overall pick of the draft, the Browns number two, and the Saints number nine, it is very possible that Sanders will end up being selected by one of these three teams.  As a polished passer with elite football IQ, Sanders showcases poise under pressure, exceptional ball accuracy and velocity, and a quick release that translates well at the next level.

His NFL bloodline, coupled with high-level production in a pass-heavy system, demonstrates his readiness to lead a pro-offense. Sanders also brings maturity, leadership, and a relentless work ethic—traits that elevate locker rooms and set a winning tone inside any football program. With his strong arm, along with improving his resourcefulness to escape pressure with his speed, and ability to read defenses pre- and post-snap, Sanders projects as a franchise-caliber quarterback with long-term starter potential which can lead to success if surrounded by a stout offensive line, a premier running game, and an elite receiving group.  Anything short of what I just mentioned will be a waste of time. I don’t see Shedeur falling below the 10th pick of the first round, but whoever decides to select him, better have a clear strategy in place to ensure that he is a successful draft pick.
